Monday, August 24th will be an orientation day (AM-only) for the following students: all 9th grade students (PGCPS transportation provided) Any new-to-Bowie HS students in grades 10-12 (main campus only) *Students are not required to participate in orientation day Date: Mon, Aug 24 Time: 7:30am - 11:15am Locations: 9th grade orientation at 9th grade campus at (Bowie High School Annex, 3021 Belair Dr, Bowie, MD 20715) Please note the correct location above-- our first-time 9th grade students take the majority of their classes at the 9th grade campus, which is located a few blocks away from the main campus New Student Orientation for Grades 10-12 at main campus 15200 Annapolis Rd, MD, 20715 Students will meet their teachers, visit their classrooms, get a chance to tour the facilities, meet their administrators and other staff members, and be served a grab-n-go lunch.

Students will receive class-specific supply lists in the opening week of school. PGCPS does require all high school students to wear clear backpacks. Any bags being used to carry school supplies must be clear so that the contents are visible. Non-clear bags are prohibited. See basic supplies linked below. **Note on COMPUTERS** PGCPS is phasing out new-chromebook distributions for incoming students. Students who wish to purchase and use their own chromebook computer for personal/educational use may do so; there will be a day during the opening week(s) when the IT team works with students with personal chromebooks to make sure their devices can successfully use the PGCPS network and resources. It is not recommended that students use any non-chromebook computer devices for access on PGCPS-related networks, as they may not be able to access the network
