About Denise Douglas

A nationally recognized communications leader and 2024 PRSA “Impact” Award recipient, Denise Douglas serves as the Associate Superintendent of Communications and Engagement. In her current leadership capacity, Denise oversees Web Services, the Media Unit, Communications, and the Language Access Unit. Guided by the district's strategic priorities, she partners with internal and external stakeholders to amplify district achievements.Her mission is to provide students, staff, and families with the vital information needed for an exceptional educational experience while proactively shaping the public narrative and perception.

She previously served as the Director of Communications for the Prince George’s County State’s Attorney’s Office. Denise is a former journalist with deep roots in the community, she is widely known for building public trust, elevating diverse voices, and delivering clear, consistent messaging across platforms.

Denise received her undergraduate and graduate degrees from the University of Maryland.
