Minimun age is 16 years old. If you are 16 or 17, you must submit a signed official Maryland School Withdrawal/Exception Form or proof of home instruction to the Maryland Department of Labor before approval.

The National External Diploma Program (NEDP) provides an alternative pathway for eligible adults to earn a Maryland High School Diploma. Participants demonstrate their academic competencies and life skills through an online portfolio.
